Filmmaking is a connectivity between the heart of man drawing inspiration from natural occurrences and situations one could find oneself. This is exactly what “Gardening in War a Zone” portrays. It dives deep into the resilience, survival and hope of a Ukrainian woman named Alla, who found peace and comfort in her garden irrespective of the situation she and her family found themselves in.

Beyond gardening, the beauty of hope and survival is a situation we can learn from.

Guest: Rob Finch

Rob is the executive producer for Floret, and Floret is a flower farm and a seed business in Mount Vernon, Washington. Rob's background comes from still photography. At first, he was a still photographer for many years.

Rob worked at a newspaper back in Chicago, which the Chicago area, which is where he was born. He moved to Portland in his early twenties where he was a newspaper photographer there for a while. He got into editing and eventually into what was called multimedia at the time, photos with audio. And then from there, he became interested in video and suddenly he was making videos.
